what a week!

goodness me.. what a week!

on a good note.. I got to spend an incredibly relaxing two days with my hubby.  not your typical weekend, as most enjoy.. but will take two days together any chance we can get them!  we discussed working on household projects, maybe shopping for new sofa, [since dear daughter will be taking ours at the end of the month] or maybe even getting out and enjoying the cooler weather.  but what we decided on, quite on purpose, was to simply veg!  we discovered a series on netflix and veg’d out, enjoying each other’s company.  it was so nice to just have ‘face’ time.. without any real distractions.  yeah, tv can be distracting.. but we find it very relaxing..  a decent escape.  no talk about work, life stresses, etc.  just us, some snacks, and the boob tube!  all of this bliss was interrupted though, as something so shocking happened in my home town in Arkansas.  a lone gunman, barged into the courthouse with automatic weapons.  he apparently shot many rounds, after looking for a particular judge.. who thankfully, was not there.  he managed to shoot only one person, thank God!!  he then had a shootout with the police outside.. hitting only a police cruiser, not the policeman!  however, they did hit him.  he later died at the hospital.  no explanation as to why.. is there ever really one?  people have mentioned that he was still very hurt over a divorce a few years ago.. think the judge was involved.  but that’s the only reason that has been brought up.  most just say they are shocked, and never would have guessed this about him..  no clues.  So very sad.  I did have friends who were present, are so very shaken up.  any prayers their way would be very much appreciated.

my blog time has been greatly reduced, due to FYI.  I miss you guys.. but I’m so very thankful for the business!  we are having a great time! :)
