yep, another birthday has come and gone. just keep getting older! sigh. I treated myself to a much needed facial, with the Christmas present [gift card] hubby gave me last year. umm yeah, I don’t really have an excuse for that procrastination, so I won’t even bother trying to explain. lol
ok.. so what does a daughter + one full uhaul equal??? one empty house for mom & dad! miss G and boyfriend flew in late last week, to pack up her stuff and get it back to ohio.. for her moving day into her own apartment! my plan to downsize worked perfectly with her desire to set up a home of her own. her gain is also our gain! :) it’s like taking a deep breath, to see the stuff go out the door. we have plans to downsize and replace with things we love this next time. so on that note… we could use your help! calling all cooks, chefs, wanna-be chefs, etc. we are on the hunt for some new cookware. we haven’t bought new cookware in, well, I can’t remember how long! we’ve been out looking, from low to high end… from store brands to celeb brands. and it’s a bit overwhelming & honestly, confusing! so, we need your recommendations! and while we’re at it, how about recommending a good food processor. we’ve narrowed it down to two brands.. kitchen aid and cuisinart. but if you have other idea, please speak up! we’re open to suggestions! and on the subject of appliances… has anyone else seen the adorable popcorn makers that are mini versions of the old street poppers? so stinkin’ cute!!

ReplyDeleteNow on to cookware... a lot depends upon your budget and what your cooking needs are. I've noticed a trend for people to have all kinds of gadgets in their kitchens that they truly do not need (myself included...) food processors??? What size are you looking at? model? I've had both brands and currently own an older kitchenaide. The only it is not favorite is because it only have pulse and one speed. That being said it works does well and I've used it HARD. Feel free to e-mail me and ask any questions. I have to admit I am NOT one to recommend buying full sets of cookware (even though my current ones came as I set... never again.)
